I am a researcher, graphic artist, and educator.

I have many years of experience working with City ID and public sector partners in major cities in the UK and US developing people-centred and multi-disciplinary projects that span user-experience design, information design, urbanism, placemaking and wayfinding.

I draw upon process philosophy and speculative research practices to explore alternative ways of accessing complexity to better understand challenges and support change.

My PhD work explores a participatory project working with young people in Bristol using mapmaking to reimagine their sense of self and the world around them.

Current research work includes British Academy and ESRC-funded projects with Keri Facer at the University of Bristol. We partner policymakers and community groups to explore the use of visualisation as a tool for gaining awareness of how timing and rhythm work in sustainability transitions.

Alongside my studies I am an associate lecturer for MA Graphic Arts programme at UWE.

From time-to-time I help out with projects at The Department of Small Works.

I live in central Bristol, UK.
